“ Education is the Manifestation of the Perfection already in man”- Swami Vivekananda.
Swami Vivekananda in Chicago in September, 1893 wrote “One infinite pure and holy beyond thought beyond qualities I bow down to thee”. Inspired by this writings, ideologies and thoughts Shri Vivekanand Nursing Home Trust was established in the year 1973. Shri Vivekanand Nursing Home Trust is a charitable trust established with objective to impart education & medical facilities in rural area.
The Trust was established under the guidance of Members of its parent Institution recently named as "Dr. B.B. Tanpure Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd". Since then it is running under the guidance of Members of Sugar factory and co-operation of its share-holders. The trust is also registered under Societies Registration Act 1860. Since then the trust is working on its objectives.
Educational Background:
1. Ayurved College:
Keeping the goal of imparting education in mind the trust has started an Ayurved College with BAMS course in 1991 with a capacity of 50 students per year firstly. Seeing the rush of rural people to get medical education, trust increased its intake capacity from 50 to 60 students in the year 1999-2000 along with Post Graduate M.D./M.S. (Ayurved) Course in five specializations with an intake of 27 seats.
2. Institute Of Nursing (G.N.M.):
Trust is also running Institute of Nursing (G.N.M. course) in view to impart nursing education for the girls of surrounding rural area with a capacity of 40 students from the academic year from 1999.
3. College Of B.Pharmacy:
Trust has started its B.Pharmacy College with an intake of 60 students from the academic year 2008. College has well-equipped laboratories, Class-rooms, play-ground facilities etc with approval from DTE, AICTE, PCI and UOP. The Trust has been carrying on its activities for the last 23 years, mainly in the field of education and health care delivery. The sole object of the Trust is to promote education to the people of this region and also for the welfare and upliftment of the Society.
We are committed to create a healthy community and enrich the human recourses which will contribute significantly to the welfare of the Society, ensuring progress of everyone. Our prime concern is the welfare and well-being of the people. Our progress and development largely will depend upon our ability to invest in knowledge.
Our young men women can only realize their full potential and gain competitive edge by having the best education in Science, Health, Technology and Management. Providing Quality Pharmaceutical Education is the main aim of starting SVNHT’s COP at Shrishivajinagar a beautiful picturesque place on Ahmednagar – Manmad Highway very close to the holy place Shirdi. SVNHT’s COP is committed to uphold the high standards of Pharmaceutical Education and shall not leave any stone unturned in continuously implementing innovative ideas and high quality lifelong learning in the areas of Pharmaceutical Education and Research.
